Introducing the site
The plant is sited in two new paddocks to the north of Wedmore and screened by new hedges of native species that were planted in autumn 2013.
The panels are mounted at a height that allows sheep to graze underneath. This maintains the value of the land for pasture and eliminates the need to cut the grass, so reducing maintenance costs.
It took about six weeks to complete the installation from work starting to generating electricity for the first time.
