Digging in - Archaeologists on-site

Our archaeologists spent four days on a trial excavation on the site and are writing a report on their findings. They have confirmed the accuracy of the earlier geophysical survey, concluding that there is nothing that could be damaged by our activities. -

Vince Cable likes Wedmore CPC business model

Vanessa, one of our Board Members, recently met with Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, in Wedmore to discuss the Solar Paddock plans. Vince liked the model and wished the group well, saying he was especially keen on the community benefit aspect.’ -

A full planning application to build a £1.1m "community-owned" solar power plant in Somerset has been submitted. Wedmore Community Power Company wants to develop two micro-generation sites on 1.7-hectare and 0.75-hectare of farmland to the north of the village. -
